Israel-headquartered WiMAX solution provider Alvarion has opened an office in Taiwan to support customers and partners, China Times of Taiwan reported on September 30. Located in Taipei, Alvarion's Taiwan office handles functions including WiMAX product development, collaboration, customer support, and sales. The company said that in addition to enhancing its service in Taiwan by establishing the office, the company is also mulling the option of starting R&D operations in Taiwan.
